Through the Nominet Members’ GiveHub programme, Construction East has a secured a grant of £8,580 to help develop our new digital platform aimed at tackling the construction skills gap in the East of England.
The funding will enable Construction East to further develop our website that will act as a central hub for the sector in the eastern region, providing resources for educators, showcasing career pathways, and helping individuals better understand the opportunities available within construction.
The construction industry continues to face a significant skills shortage, particularly at a regional level where talent often leaves to study and does not return. By supporting the development of this platform, the project aims to make it easier for people to access clear, relevant and localised information about careers in the sector, helping to build a more sustainable workforce for the future.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the support from Nominet’s GiveHub programme. This funding will allow us to fully develop a much-needed digital platform that connects industry, education and future talent, helping to inspire the next generation and address the skills challenges facing our sector.”
Rob Panter, Chair at Construction East
This project aligns with GiveHub’s focus on creating a more connected and inclusive digital society, ensuring that individuals have access to the tools and information they need to develop skills and opportunities for the future.
We look forward to seeing the impact of this project as Construction East continues its work to support the next generation of construction professionals.
